Tournament Preview: The Ohio Northern men's golf team will compete in the Capital Fall Classic on Monday at Blacklick Woods Golf Course … The Polar Bears will have two teams at the event and will be competing against Capital (2 teams), Otterbein (2 teams), Marietta, Mount Union, Wooster, Muskingum and Bluffton … Golfers will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., playing 36 holes … The projected finish time is 6:30 p.m. … The Polar Bears are coming off a three-week break after sharing top honors with Bluffton at the Bluffton Beaver Classic on Sept. 18-19 with a 305-300—605 score … Ohio Northern's "B" team carded a 314-317—631 to finish fourth in the eight-team event … Senior Jared Hernandez led ONU with a 75-73—148, tying for second of 48 golfers on the par-72 course … Seniors Nolan Kimberly and Austin White tied for seventh with 152s, and senior Andrew Slusher tied for ninth with a 153 … Freshman David Walsh won Medalist honors playing with the "B" squad with a 74-73—147, earning him an Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week accolade … Through six rounds this season, Hernandez and Kimberly lead the team in scoring at 76.7 … Freshman Andrew Briars is third at 77.7, and Walsh is fourth at 78.3 … Sophomore Jacob Brooks has a 78.0 average through three rounds.
