Turich, Kimberly lead Men's Golf at Defiance Fall Invitational

FINDLAY — The Ohio Northern men's golf team wrapped up its 2018-19 fall schedule with a fifth place finish at the Defiance Fall Invitational on Friday at Red Hawk Run Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (10-24 overall) posted a 327 for the 7155-yard, par-72 course, finishing fifth of five teams.

Northwestern Ohio won the team title with a 298, Aquinas (Mich.) was second with a 316, Lourdes was third with a 322 and Defiance was fourth with a 324.

Senior Joshua Turich (Centerville) and freshman Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) led ONU with 80s, tying for 14th place out of 41 golfers.

Senior Nick Anderson (Mason) tied for 18th with an 81 and senior David Gorman (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) tied for 27th with an 86.

Josh Beatt of Northwestern Ohio won Medalist honors with a 71.

The Polar Bears will return to action in March with their annual spring break trip.
