Men's Golf rallies for fourth place finish at Taylor (Ind.) Invitational

ADA, Mich. — The Ohio Northern men's golf team rallied with a solid second round to finish tied for fourth out of eight teams at the Taylor (Ind.) Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Egypt Valley Country Club.

The Polar Bears (23-17-1 overall), responded with a 14-over par 302 on Tuesday after posting a 33-over par 321 in Monday's opening round of the 36-hole tournament.

Sophomore Brandon Lambert led Ohio Northern with a 4-over par 76-72—148 on the par-72, 7111-yard course.

Junior Andrew Quintrell and freshman Blaine Ricketts tied with 157s and sophomore Rick Deichert finished with a 161.

ONU finished tied with Bethel (Ind.) with a 623.

NAIA member Holy Cross (Ind.) won the team title with a 305-301—606 and the Saints' Matthew Code won Medalist honors with a 70-72—142.

The Polar Bears have completed the Fall portion of their schedule and will return to action in March on their annual spring break trip to Las Vegas, Nev.
