Review: Men's Golf wraps up 2010-11 season full of record-setting finishes

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's golf team had a record-breaking season in 2010-11 under third-year head coach Chad Bostelman.
The Polar Bears set a single-season school record with 63 victories against 34 losses and four ties.
ONU also broke the school's 36-hole scoring total with a 603 to win the Heidelberg Invitational and broke the single-season scoring average record with a 316.3 stroke average for 22.5 rounds.
Northern was fourth at the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, its second straight upper division finish and its third in the last four seasons.
Senior Tom Repicky earned All-OAC kudos for the second consecutive season with a fourth place finish at the 2011 OAC Championships.
He finished with an 8-over par 221, making him just the fourth ONU player to earn All-Conference honors twice in his career.
Northern finished the 2011 OAC Championships with 913 strokes, just 23 strokes off the lead.
The 913 total for 54 holes is the third-lowest 54-hole total in school history.
The Polar Bears won three consecutive tournament titles and four overall during the season.

Northern won the Heidelberg Invitational, the OAC Spring Invitational and the Trine (Ind.) Invitational on consecutive outings and took the Capital Classic in September.
Repicky led the Polar Bears in scoring with a 77.3 average for 22.5 rounds, which is the second-lowest single-season total in ONU history
Freshman Colin Burns was second on the squad with an ONU freshman record 77.8 average for 18 rounds, marking the third-lowest single-season mark in ONU history.
Burns set ONU's 36-hole record with an even-par 144 to win Medalist honors at the Heidelberg Invitational.
He also took Medalist honors at the Capital Fall Invitational and was tied for second at the OAC Spring Invitational.
Freshman Ryan Wirtz had an average of 78.9 for 17 rounds, which ranks as the seventh best average in school history.
Sophomore Travis Ballinger was fourth with an 80.2 average for 20.5 rounds and senior Phil Makowski was fifth with an 81.2 average for 19 rounds.
