Tony Claar

Tony Claar is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Northern men's and women's bowling teams in 2026-27.

Tony is a USBC Silver trained coach. He started bowling in his teens and has been bowling ever since.

Claar went on to coach multiple high school programs in the Columbus area, including taking 3 of those programs to the Ohio State Championships.

He got his USBC Bronze training in 2019 and Silver in 2021. He gives private and group lessons while also assisting in several RKH Coaching clinics.

During his high school career, he bowled for Vero Beach (Fla.) High School.

While living in Orlando, he owned a Bowling Pro Shop where he learned the finer points of ball fit and drilling.

Claar has a great passion for the sport of bowling, and he looks forward to what he can bring to the Ohio Northern University bowling program.
