Men's Basketball takes down Baldwin Wallce thanks to hot start in second half to win 66-51

BEREA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team used another hot second half to win at Baldwin Wallace 66-51 on Wednesday evening.
- Records: Ohio Northern (10-7 Overall, 5-3 OAC), Baldwin Wallace (5-12 Overall, 2-6 OAC).
- Venue: Lou Higgins Center — Berea, Ohio.
The Game
- Senior Will Miller (Ottoville) also had a team-high 22 points for ONU.
- Sophomore Conye Gaston (Toledo/Christian) added 19 as he stayed hot off the bench.
- Josh Byers led the Yellow Jackets with 9 points.
- Ohio Northern made 13-of-24 shots in the second half (54%) to turn a 30-29 deficit into a 14-point victory.
- The Polar Bears opened the second half on a 13-3 run to grab a 42-33 lead with 12:27 left in the game.
- ONU followed with a 16-3 run to extend the overall run to 29-8, to grab a 58-38 advantage with 6:43 to play.
- BWU would not get closer than 14 points the rest of the way.
- Ohio Northern was 26-of-52 from the floor for 50.0 percent and made 7-of-15 three-pointers for 46.7 percent, while Baldwin Wallace finished 20-of-50 from the field for 40.0 percent and 6-of-18 from three-point range for 33.3 percent.
- ONU made 7-of-14 free throws for 50.0 percent and BW was 5-of-11 from the foul line for 45.5 percent.
- The Polar Bears outrebounded the Yellow Jackets 38-25.
