Men's Basketball drops 74-66 decision at Otterbein

WESTERVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team dropped a tough road Ohio Athletic Conference battle at Otterbein 74-66 on Wednesday evening.
- Records: Ohio Northern (8-7 Overall, 3-3 OAC), Otterbein (13-2 Overall, 5-1 OAC).
- Venue: Rike Center — Westerville, Ohio.
The Game
- Senior Will Miller (Ottoville) led the Polar Bears with 18 points
- Senior Mason Studer (Colonel Crawford/Gallion) added 11 points
- Sophomore Aiden Harris (Pandora Gilboa) added 11 points
- Troy Scowden led the Cardinals with 13 points.
- A lay-up made by Studer cut the OU lead to 52-55 with 6:15 left in the game
- But Otterbein responded with an 11-0 run over the next 2:38 to grab a 66-52 lead with 3:04 to play.
- A 6-0 run in the first 2:03 from the Cardinals gave them a 38-30 lead.
- In a closely contested first half neither team led by more than 5 points
- Otterbein led 32-30 at the half and opened the second half on an 8-2 run to push the lead to 40-32.
- Ohio Northern was 28-of-55 from the floor for 50.9 percent and made 9-of-18 three-pointers for 50.0 percent, while Otterbein finished 25-of-52 from the field for 48.1 percent and 4-of-16 from three-point range for 25.0 percent.
- ONU made 1-of-3 free throws for 33.3 percent and OC was 20-of-26 from the foul line for 76.9 percent.
