Men's Basketball to make 4-game swing through Canada, will play at Division I Northern Kentucky during preseason

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team will make a 4-game swing through Canada in October and will play at NCAA Division I foe Northern Kentucky during its preseason in November under fourth-year head coach Kevin Byrne.
The Polar Bears will take advantage of the NCAA rule allowing international competition for Division III members every three years when they will face four Canadian schools in exhibition contests from Oct. 9-13 during ONU's Fall Break.
Ohio Northern will play at Saint Clair University in Windsor, Ontario, on Oct. 9, then will travel to Toronto for games against Seneca University and George Brown University on Oct. 10.
The trip will conclude with an Oct. 13 contest at Lambton College in Sarnia, which is just across the river from Port Clinton, Mich.
The Polar Bears will also travel to NCAA Division I foe Northern Kentucky for an exhibition contest on Nov. 7.
Ohio Northern will open its season on Nov. 14 at home against Alma (Mich.) at 6 pm at the ONU Sports Center in a rare Basketball-Football double header on campus. The basketball game will follow the ONU football game with Otterbein, which kicks off at 1:30 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium that day.
