ADA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team will tip-off its 2015-16 season at home with Alma (Mich.) on Nov. 14 at 6 pm at the ONU Sports Center under fourth-year head coach Kevin Byrne.
That day will feature a rare Football-Men's basketball home double header as the Polar Bear football squad will host Otterbein at 1:30 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium, giving fans a chance to catch both games on the same day.
The challenging schedule will feature seven non-conference games and the usual 18-game double round-robin Ohio Athletic Conference slate.
After opening with Alma, the Polar Bears will hit the road for five consecutive games beginning with a pair of contests at the Rochester (N.Y.) Tournament Nov. 20-21.
Northern will then travel to face NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago on back-to-back games, playing at Defiance Nov. 24 and at Wisconsin-Whitewater on Nov. 28.
The Polar Bears will play at Otterbein in their OAC opener on Dec. 2.
ONU will complete its non-conference schedule over the Christmas break with a road game at Denison on Nov. 30 and a home game with Trine (Ind.) on Jan. 2.
Northern will wrap up its regular season with a home game against Marietta on Feb. 20.
The OAC Tournament will tart with quarterfinal games on Feb. 23 with the semifinals on Feb. 25 and the finals on Feb. 27.
