Seniors Myles Aldrich and Cody Dykes named OAC Football Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern seniors Myles Aldrich (Lima/Shawnee) and Cody Dykes (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area) were named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for the week of Nov. 3-9.
This marks the first career OAC Player of the Week accolade for both Aldrich and Dykes.
The recognition for Aldrich comes after having eight tackles and a strip sack to ice a 30-28 win over No. 22-ranked Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon.
Aldrich is tied for second in the OAC with two forced fumbles and tied for third with 4.5 total sacks.
In 32 career games at ONU, Aldrich has 171 tackles, including 94 solo, 10.5 sacks, 31 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
The recognition for Dykes comes after making three field goals, including the go-ahead 33-yarder with 6:48 left in the game.
Dykes is tied for fifth in the OAC with four made field goals this season.
The Polar Bears (7-2 Overall, 6-1 OAC) return to action on Saturday when they travel to Otterbein in the regular season finale.
