Freshman Vic Hoelscher named OAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Vic Hoelscher (Maria Stein/Marion Local) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

This marks the first career OAC Player of the Week accolade for Hoelscher.

The recognition comes after returning the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown in a 49-42 win over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday.

Hoelscher now leads the team with 309 return yards and is second on the team with a 30.9 yard average.

The Polar Bears (6-2 Overall, 5-1 OAC) return to action on Saturday when they host #24 Baldwin Wallace at 1:30 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
