Football to open 2025 schedule Sept. 6 at Franklin (Ind.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will open its 2025 schedule and with a non-conference battle at Franklin (Ind.) on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The Polar Bears will open their home schedule against Heidelberg on Sept. 13 at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

After a bye week, Northern will play at Wilmington on Sept. 27.

Ohio Northern will then host Marietta on Oct. 4  as part of Homecoming Weekend.

ONU will play at Muskingum on Oct. 11, will host Capital on Oct. 18 and will play at Mount Union on Oct. 25 to wrap up its October schedule.

The Polar Bears will step out of conference play on Nov. 1 when they host Mount Saint Joseph.

The regular season then wraps up with a home game with Baldwin Wallace on Nov. 8 and a road tilt at Otterbein on Nov. 15.

Northern's contest at Heidelberg will be the 15th annual Bendekovic Bowl battle.

Game times will be announced as they become available.

The Polar Bears posted a 5-5 record and finished fifth in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 4-5 record in 2024 under first-year head coach Andy Fries.
