Sophomore Jonmichael Elliott named OAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Jonmichael Elliott (Richmond, Va./Clover Hill) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 7-13.

This marks Elliott's first career OAC Player of the Week honor.

The recognition comes after Elliott averaged 35.3 yards on six punts to help the Polar Bears to a 21-13 win over Wilmington on a snowy Saturday in Ada. His longest punt of the day traveled 39 yards.

For the season, Elliott averaged 37.7 yards on 60 punts with a long of 76 yards, pinning opposing teams inside the 20-yard line 13 times.

The Polar Bears closed their 2022 season with two straight victories to finish 3-7 overall.
