Junior Kyler Lapp named OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Kyler Lapp (Hall, Ill.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 9-15.

This is Lapp's second time receiving the honor in his career.

The recognition comes after going 4-for-5 at the plate in an 8-4 victory over Saint John's (Minn.) on Saturday. He also had three RBIs, including a 2-run homer, and three runs.

Through 13 games this season, Lapp leads the team in batting (.452), RBIs (17) and extra base hits (10).

Lapp is tied for fifth in the OAC with three home runs and tied for eighth in RBIs.

The Polar Bears (10-3 Overall) return to action on Saturday when they host Alma (Mich.) at Wander Field at noon.
