DAVENPORT, Fla. — Senior Chase Armstrong (Louisville) hit a two-out, 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to give the Ohio Northern baseball team a walk-off 10-8 victory over Marymount (Va.) on the fifth day of their spring break trip on Wednesday.

The Game

  • Armstrong hit a 2-out, 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the Polar Bears.
  • Northern hit four home runs in the game, including two by freshman Tyler Rinehart (Boonville, Ind.)
  • Junior Kyle Callahan (Brunswick) also homered for ONU.
  • Rinehart hit his first home run, a 2-run shot, in the second to get ONU within 3-2.
  • Trailing 7-2, Callahan hit a 2-run bomb in the seventh and Rinehart hit another 2-run home run in the eighth to make it 7-6.

  • The Saints scored in the top of the 11th to take an 8-7 lead, setting up Armstrong's heroics.
