Baseball loses 15-6 to Loras (Iowa) as team reaches halfway mark of spring trip

DAVENPORT, Fla. — The Ohio Northern baseball team dropped a 15-6 decision to Loras (Iowa) on the fourth day of their spring break trip on Tuesday.
The Basics

- Loras grabbed an early 6-0 lead thanks to a 6-run second inning.
- Senior Andrew Stechschulte (Findlay) was 2-for-5 with a triple and a run scored, junior Evan Russ (Westfield, Ind.) was 2-for-5 with 2 RBI, freshman Tyler Rinehart (Boonville, Ind.) was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI and freshman Carson Stevens (Wyoming) was 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the ONU offense.
- Senior Chase Armstrong (Louisville) got the Polar bears on the board with an RBI in the thrid to make it 6-1.
- But the Duhawks would put the game away with 4 runs in each of the sixth and eighth innings to build a 15-5 advantage.
