ALLIANCE — Ohio Northern began play in the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament with a 7-3 loss to Baldwin Wallace on Thursday afternoon.

- Baldwin Wallace took the lead early in the game with a 3-run third inning to lead 3-0.
- The Yellow Jackets added another run in the 4th to make it 4-0.
- Junior Chase Armstrong (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) breathed life into the ONU offense, launching a no-doubter solo home run with two outs in the 6th.
- Sophomore Devon Morris (Archbold) hit an RBI triple two batters later to make it 4-2.
- BW answered in the 7th with 3 runs to push the lead back to 7-2.
- Sophomore Kyler Lapp hit an RBI single in the 8th to cut the lead to 7-3.
- Freshman Jackson Saylor(Springboro) started on the mound for Northern throwing 6.0 innings and allowing 4 runs on the day.
- Lapp led the Polar Bears offense, going 3-4 with an RBI.

- This is ONU's third straight appearance in the OAC Tournament and fifth in seven years.
- Ohio Northern now trails the all-time series with Baldwin Wallace by 60-55 margin.
