Myles Johnson, Avery Baker-Schlendering named Ohio Northern's Polar Bears of the Month for March

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomores Myles Johnson (Springboro) and Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) were named Ohio Northern's Polar Bears of the Month for the month of March.
Baker-Schlendering was also named Polar Bear of the Month for the month of January, while both received the honor in February.
Baker-Schlendering earned All-America honors with a 6th place finish in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships. She cleared 1.70 meters to tie for 6th place out of 20 competitiors.
She qualified for Nationals as the No. 2 seed with a school-record 1.79 meter season-best. She also won the Ohio Athletic Conference title in the high jump.
Baker-Schlendering opened the outdoor season with a 3rd place finish in the high jump at the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open on March 28, clearing 1.63 meters.
Johnson was named All-American in wrestling with a 6th place finish at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
He went 2-3 in the tournament to finish 6th in the 197-pound weight class, becoming ONU's 23rd wrestler to be named All-American.
Johnson concluded his sophomore campaign with a 39-7 record, and now has a career record of 78-13.
