ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Emerson Gray (Liberty Center) and freshman Londen Murphy (Moscow/Moeller) were named the Polar Bears of the Month for the month of December.

Gray led the women's basketball team in scoring in four of the Polar Bear's six games in December, including a career-high 22 points in an overtime loss to Wittenberg on Dec. 6 and a 68-60 win over Capital on Dec. 13.

Gray leads the team in scoring (13.1 ppg), rebounding (5.3 rpg), assists (2.3 apg) and steals (1.8 spg) thus far this season. She was also named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 8-14.

Murphy leads the ONU wrestling team with a 20-0 record and 13 pins on the season.

He placed first in the 157-pound weight class at the 44th Annual ONU Invitational, went 3-0 with two pins at the West Liberty (W.Va.) Hilltopper Duals and placed second with a 3-0 record at the Washington & Lee Invitational. He was named OAC Wrestler of the Week twice in the month of December.
