Did You Know? Polar Bears knock off the Stormy Petrels for first win in Women's Lacrosse history

Ohio Northern got its first-ever Women's Lacrosse victory on March 3, 2016, when the Polar Bears traveled to Atlanta and defeated the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe (Ga.) 6-4.
Playing at Oglethorpe Field, ONU held the hosts scoreless for 30 minutes and 35 seconds and built a 6-2 lead with 8:04 left in the game.
Alexandra Miller broke a 2-2 tie with a goal just 2:35 before halftime to put the Polar Bears up 3-2.
Chelsea Cousins, Maddie Storr and Maggie Fuller added goals as the lead grew to 6-2 with 8:04 left in the game.
The Stormy Petrels scored twice in the final four minutes and got within 6-4 with 45 seconds left.
But Alexandra Herman came up the the ensuing draw control and Ohio Northern ran out the clock to even its record at 1-1 in its inaugural season.
