OSHKOSH (Wis.)--Senior All-American Alison Steinbrunner finished in first place out of 500 runners as the No. 29 Ohio Northern women's cross country teams finished ninth at the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The event featured 37 teams, eight of which were ranked.

Northern finished with 283 points.

No. 8 Calvin (Mich.) won the event with 91 points, while No. 15 Chicago finished second with 114 points. No 10 UW-Eau Claire was third with 115 points, No. 20 Hope (Mich) finished fourth with 172 points and No. 32 Illinois Wesleyan rounded out the top five with 222 points.

Steinbrunnner navigated the 6,000 meter course in 21:24.50, finishing eight seconds ahead of the second place runner.

Senior Lydia Weaver posted a solid seventh place finish in 22:01.76.

Freshman Aya Tomozawa finished in 82nd with a time of 23:42.73, while junior Brooke Larsen posted a time of 23:47.01 which was good for 92nd place.

Senior Sarah Turley posted a time of 23:59.07.

Ohio Northern will be in action again on October 27 when they travel to Wilmington for the OAC Championships at 11 am.
