Women's Outdoor Track & Field captures OAC Split Meet

NEW CONCORD -- The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team won the OAC Split Meet hosted by Muskingum on Friday.
ONU (4-0) finished with 150 points in the event.
Muskingum, Heidelberg and Capital all finished tied for second with 107 points and Wilmington was fifth was 75 points.
The Polar Bears brought home numerous first place finishes.
Senior Erin Radigan won the 800-meter run in 2:27.99 and freshman Kristine Wagner won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08.37.
The tandem of sophomores Shannon Hageman and Gabrielle Metzner, senior Jordan Buchanan and Wagner won the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay's in 51.20 seconds and 4:15.92, respectively.
Senior Vicki Moga won the high jump, clearing 5-1.75, while senior Emily Blum won the triple jump with a leap of 33-3.25.
Northern had the top three placers in the 5,000-meter run.
Senior Alison Steinbrunner finished first in 18:23.02, senior Sarah Thompson was second with a time of 19:52.17 and junior Katie Klopp crossed the finish line third in 20:33.55.
Buchanan was second in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 13.27 seconds and 27.51 seconds, respectively.
Junior Brooke Larsen was second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:04.27.
Metzner brought home a second place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.99 seconds.
Wagner was second in the long jump with a leap of 16-6.50 and Hageman was third, covering 15-11.00.
Hageman also finished second in the triple jump, with a leap of 32-8.50.
Freshman Gabrielle Heck came in third in the pole vault, clearing 8-6.00.
Ohio Northern will return to competition on April 6, when it competes at the Marv Frye Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
