Three named Academic All-OAC in Men's Track & Field/Cross Country; Farwig named in Track & Field

ADA -- Three Polar Bears were named Academic All-OAC in track & field/cross country and one additional member was named Academic All-OAC in track & field, in voting done by the league's 10 faculty advisors.
Juniors Mathew Johnson and Tyler Feitshans and sophomore Nate Rosenbaum were named in track & field/cross country and junior Phillip Farwig earned the award in track & field.
Johnson, a pharmacy major, earns his second straight honor.
This season, he was sixth at the OAC Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-meter run and was seventh in both the 1,000-meter run and 1-mile run at the OAC Indoor Championships.
Feitshans earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC accolade.
He finished 76th at the NCAA Cross Country Regionals and posted his season best time of 26:25 at the Calvin Select Meet.
Rosenbaum earned All-OAC honors in cross country and in the outdoor 10,000-meter run.
This is the first honor for the mechanical engineering major.
Farwig, earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade.
This season he was fourth in the weight throw and eighth in the shotput at the OAC Indoor Championships.
To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must be sophomore standing, be varsity status and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.
