Brandon Lambert's Hole-in-One lifts Men's Golf to victory in tri-match with St. Vincent (Pa.) and Marywood (Pa.)

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Freshman Brandon Lambert had a hole-in-one to help win Medalist honors and lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team to a tri-match win over Saint Vincent (Pa.) and Marywood (Pa.) Tuesday at the Fazio Course at Bearfoot Resort.

The Polar Bears (31-9-1) shot a 14-over par 298, Saint Vincent was second with a 325 and Marywood was third with a 342.

Lambert fired a career-low 2-over par 73 to claim Medalist honors for the first time in his career.

His ace came on the Par-3 11th hole from 185 yards out with a 7-iron.

Junior Ryan Wirtz shot a 74, junior Colin Burns carded a 75 and freshman Rick Deichert had a 76 as ONU golfers finished 1-2-3-4 in the 23-man field.

The Polar Bears will face the Bearcats and the Pacers in another tri-match on Wednesday.
