Schnelle named OAC Player of the Week for Men's Basketball
ADA — Senior center Scott Schnelle has been named OAC Player of the Week for Men's Basketball for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5.
Schnelle averaged 18 ppg in ONU's two games last week.
He scored 18 points in the team's loss at Capital on Wednesday, going 8-of-11 from the field.
He followed up with another 18 points going 6-8 from the field to help lead ONU to a 70-63 win over Marietta on Saturday.
Schnelle has scored 989 career points in 99 games and needs only 11 more to become the 36th member of ONU's 1,000-Point Club.
The Polar Bears are now 10-11 overall and 6-8 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The team will play host to Heidelberg on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
