Men's, Women's basketball teams to host OAC Tournament doubleheader Tuesday night
ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's basketball teams will play host to a pair of Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament quaretrfinal games Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bear women are the No. 3 seed in the women's tournament and will face sixth-seeded Muskingum at 6 pm.
The ONU men are the No. 4 seed in the men's tournament and will face fifth-seeded Heidelberg at approximately 8 pm, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.
ONU and Muskingum split the season series between the two schools this season with ONU winning 64-45 in Ada and MU winning 52-50 in New Concord.
Senior Jeanne Bockey leads ONU in scoring, averaging 13.3 ppg this season.
On the men's side, ONU and HU split games this season, with ONU winning 80-62 in Tiffin and HU winning 67-63 in Ada.
With victories tonight, the ONU women would play in the semifinals Thursday night either at No. 2 seed Baldwin-Wallace or at home against No. 7 seed John Carroll and the men would either host No. 8 seed Wilmington or play at No. 1 seed Marietta.
The finals are slated for Saturday.
Tickets for Tuesday night's games are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors 62 and over and $2 for non-OAC students. Current OAC students will be admitted free with valid ID.
