Ashley Yontz named Academic All-District IV

ADA — Senior Ashley Yontz (Springfield/Shawnee) was named Second Team ESPN the Magazine At-Large Academic All-District IV as voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Yontz also earned Academic All-OAC honors for the third straight season and First Team honors for the second consecutive year as a member of the women’s tennis team.

The Springfield native reached the 100-win mark this season after posting a 20-6 singles record and a 17-12 doubles mark. In her four years as a Polar Bear, Yontz was 76-16 in singles, 54-20 in doubles and is 130-36 overall.

She ends her career ranked second all-time at ONU with her 76 singles wins, just four shy of the 80 by Ashley Jones from 2003-06. She is eighth all-time with her 54 doubles wins and is third with her 130 overall wins.

Yontz also earned Second Team All-OAC honors this season and Honorable Mention honors last season.
