ADA — The Ohio Northern women’s soccer team, led by fifth-year head coach Mark Batman, has announced the 11 incoming freshmen in its 2008 recruiting class.

The incoming class is comprised of four midfielders, three defenders, two forwards and two goal keepers.

The Polar Bears open the regular season on the road at the R.I.T. (N.Y.) Classic on Aug. 30-31.

Northern will face host R.I.T. on Aug. 30 and Allegheny (Pa.) on Aug. 31.

ONU will open its home schedule against Witteberg on Sept. 17.

The 2008 squad will look to improve upon an extremely successful 2007 campaign in which the Polar Bears posted a 12-5-2 overall record.

The 2007 Polar Bears also captured the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship with a record of 8-0-1 in conference play.
