ADA — Ohio Northern senior golfers Chase Cummings (Tulsa, Okla./Liberty-Benton) and Wes Immler (Lorain/Amherst Steele) were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Men’s At-Large team as voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Immler is a Second Team honoree and Cummings earned Third Team honors.
Both men were also named First Team Academic All-District IV and Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference this year.
Immler, a chemistry major, is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree and earned All-Conference honors this spring.
The senior was consistently one of ONU’s top golfers, playing in 12 tournaments and finishing as one of five Polar Bears with a sub-80 stroke average at 79.9.
Cummings, a mechanical engineering major, played some of the best golf of his career during the spring. He averaged 75.2 strokes per round over his final ten rounds, including a pair of career-low 71s during that stretch.
