ADA Ohio Northern Senior Mark Sankovich earned Division III Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Associtation All-Mid East honors.
This is the first All-Region award for Sankovich as he took home Second Team honors. He also garned First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors for the first time this season as well.
He had a tremendous senior season, going 8-3 with a 2.53 ERA in 74.2 innings. He started 11 games this season and led the OAC with nine complete games, including two complete game shutouts. His nine complete games were the most for a Polar Bear since Dan Farler had 10 in 2003.
Opponents hit just .214 off of Sankovich this season, which is the second-lowest opponent batting average in school history. He also ends his career with the all-time lowest opponent BA in ONU history at .239.
Sankovich finished ninth all-time at ONU with 13 complete games and his two complete games are second most in school history.
