Sunday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's track and field team will open its 2021 outdoor season on Sunday with the Marietta OAC Opener meet at Don Drumm Stadium ... All 10 OAC schools are slated to compete with running and field events starting at 10 am ...The Polar Bears have not competed outdoors since the NCAA III Championships May 25, 2019 - a span of 662 days ... Junior Kayla Silva and senior Kylie Vestal earned All-OAC honors in two events each to lead the Ohio Northern women's track and field team to a third place finish in the OAC Indoor Championships on March 5 at Otterbein ... Silva finished second in the 200 in 26.06 seconds and was third in the 60 meters in 7.83 seconds, earning All-OAC honors in both events ... She was also seventh in the long jump at 5.12 meters ... Vestal finished third in the 1,000 in 3:02.31 to earn All-OAC honors ... She was also on the distance medley relay team with freshman J.J. Herron (Miamisburg), junior Taylor Ellerbrock and senior Megan Wright that finished 3rd in 12:38.06, earning All-OAC honors ... Senior Stella DeWitt finished second in the long jump with a jump of 5.48 meters earning All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors ... She was also fourth in the 60 hurdles in :09.20 and was sixth in the triple jump at 10.37 meters.
