Junior Rebecca Carman leads the Ohio Northern Women's Track & Field team at the Rick Meindl Last Call Meet

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern women's track and field team finished 11 of 19 teams Saturday at the Rick Meindl Last Call Meet hosted on the campus of Capital University at the Capital Center.
Northern was led in the meet by junior Rebecca Carman, in the long jump, finishing third with a new season best of 5.36 meters.
Freshman Tia Harris also set a new season best in the shot put, finishing fifth with a toss of 12.26 meters.
In the Pole Vault, Sarah Ballmer claimed fourth clearing a height of 2.90 meters.
Sophomore Elizabeth Werner finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.13 meters.
Freshman Colleen Grainger claimed a seventh place finish in the 1-mile with a time of 5:36.38.
In the 1,000-meter run, freshman Jocelyn Reinhart finished eighth in 3:21.01.
Senior Brittany Lee and sophomore Mallory Weininger both claimed ninth place finishes in the meet. Lee finished ninth in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.58, while Weininger took ninth in the high jump with a height of 1.50 meters.
Freshman Colleen Grainger finished 10th in the 5,000-meter run in 20:09.82.
The Polar Bears return to action Saturday as they travel to Marietta for the OAC Indoor Championships.
