Gabrielle Metzner leads Women's Indoor Track & Field at All-Ohio Championships

ADA — Junior Gabrielle Metzner placed to two events to lead the Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team at the All-Ohio Championships Saturday at Otterbein.
The Polar Bears (13-16 overall) finished 14th of 18 teams with 15 points.
Mount Union won the meet with 110.5 points, Baldwin Wallace was second with 91.5 points and Ohio Wesleyan was third with 81 points.
Metzer placed seventh in the 60-meter dash in 9.49 seconds.
She broke the school record for the second straight week, posting a time of 9.17 seconds in the prelims.
She also combined with freshman Allison Gast, sophomore Brittany Lee and sophomore Kristine Wagner were sixth in the 4x200-meter relay in 1:48.13.
Freshman Dianna Johnson-Ward posted Northern's higest finish on the day, placing fourth in the long jump with an effort of 16' 8".
Junior Catie Huber placed sixth in the 800-meter run in 2:21.91 and sophomore Julie Amos placed sixth in the high jump by clearing 5' 1/4".
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday at the Capital Classic.
