Weekend's Matches: Ohio Northern is hosting North Coast Athletic Conference foe Wooster Saturday morning indoors at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center in Lima ... It is the first match of a women's/men's double header with the Scots ... ONU will then travel to Oberlin on Sunday morning for a 10 am contest with the Yeowomen … The Polar Bears are coming off a tight 5-4 victory over NAIA Spring Arbor (Mich.) on Feb. 24 … Ohio Northern won two of three doubles matches and three of the six singles courts ... Sophomores Drew Swisher and Peyton Specht won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles and sophomore Tristan Munteanu and freshman Nico Rogel won 8-7(3) at No. 3 doubles ... Munteanu then won 2-6, 6-4, 10-4 at No. 1, Specht won 6-7, 6-1, 10-5 at No. 2 and Swisher won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 6 singles as ONU held on for the win ... Thus far this season, sophomore Sam Sran leads the Polar Bears with an 8-3 singles record and a 15-6 overall mark ... Junior Kevya Desai, Rogel and Swisher are all 7-3 in singles action ... Munteanu and Sran each have seven doubles wins ... Rogel and Desai are right behind Sran in overall wins with 13 each ... Wooster enters Saturday's match at 2-3 with wins over Grove City (Pa.) and Capital by 9-0 scored last weekend and losses to Division II Walsh 7-0, #2 Case Western Reserve 9-0 and Otterbein 6-3 earlier in the season ... The Scots are led in singles play by senior Alex Drews with a 5-3 record ... Junior Shivan Dewan and sophomore Patrick Johnson are each 4-3 ... Drews also had a team-best 7 doubles wins and a team-best 12 victories overall.
