Polar Bears to meet Wilkes (Pa.) in First Round of NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships

ADA — After taking the regular season and conference tournament titles for the second straight season, the Ohio Northern men's tennis team now heads to Gambier, Ohio this weekend to face Wilkes (Pa.) in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship.
Kenyon College will play host for the first, second and third rounds of the tournament, Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 15.
Should Northern win its matchup versus the Colonels (11-3) on Friday at 1 p.m., the Polar Bears will face host Kenyon Saturday morning, starting at 11 a.m. The other matchup ticketed to play in Gambier is a second-round match between Mary Washington (Va.) and Kalamazoo (Mich.).
The Polar Bears are making their second straight trip to the NCAA regionals and their fourth appearance in the five seasons.
ONU finished the regular season 14-3 overall and undefeated in the OAC with a 9-0 mark, before championing its way through the OAC Tournament this past weekend.
Northern is 17-3 heading into Friday's match.
