Volleyball moves up to No. 11 in sixth weekly AVCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 11 in the sixth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll on Tuesday. 

The Polar Bears (14-3 overall, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 1,107 points, 84 more than in the fifth weekly poll when ONU was ranked No. 12.

Northern was ranked No. 15 in the fourth poll, No. 16 in the third poll, was No. 21 in the first and second polls and No. 23 in the preseason poll.

Emory (Ga.) remained in the top spot with 1,919 points and 59 first place votes. Calvin (Mich.) is second with 1,869 points and nine first place votes and Chicago (Ill.) is third with 1,812 points and eight first place votes. 

The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday when they host Baldwin Wallace at 7 pm in an OAC battle at the ONU Sports Center.
