Thursday's Preview: The No. 20-ranked Ohio Northern women's volleyball program competes for its league-leading 20th OAC Tournament title this Saturday, November 3 as the Polar Bears host third-seeded Muskingum in the OAC Tournament Finals at the ONU Sports Center ... First serve is set for 2 p.m. in Ada ... The Polar Bears enter the OAC Tournament Finals sporting a 21-7 overall record in 2018 ... Northern is the No. 1 seed in this year's OAC Tournament after tying Otterbein in the regular season league standings with an 8-1 record ... ONU defeated fourth-seeded Baldwin Wallace 3-1 Thusday to reach the championship match ... Junior All-American Chelsea Huppert and classmates McKenna Jordan and Sydney Bapst each supplied 13 kills in the victory ... Huppert currently leads the team and is third in the OAC with 346 kills while Jordan is second on the team and 10th in the OAC with 264 kills ... Huppert also leads the OAC with a .354 hitting percentage ... Sophomore Katie Wade currently leads the team and ranks fourth in the OAC with 919 assists ... Defensively, junior McKenna Hostetler leads the team and ranks sixth in the OAC with 483 digs, and classmate Madison Broering is second for ONU and 10th in the OAC with 422 digs ... Huppert surpassed the 1,000 career kill mark in Thursday's match against Baldwin Wallace with her 10th kill on the evening ... The Muskies enter the OAC Tournament Finals owning a 25-6 overall record this season ... They would finish the conference regular season with a 7-2 mark, good for third in the final standings trailing just Ohio Northern and Otterbein ... Muskingum defeated second-seeded Otterbein 3-2 on the road Thursday evening to reach the championship match ... Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Fatheree leads the Muskies' offensive attack with a conference-best 437 kills ... Sophomore Jessica Cottle has anchored the Muskingum defense with 589 digs while classmate Brynn Guist leads the league with 96 total blocks.
