ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team is ranked No. 20 in the tenth and final regular season American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, released Tuesday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (27-5 overall, 8-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 380 points in the poll, which is 120 less than the 500 points they received last week when they were ranked No. 18.
ONU was ranked No. 22 in the preseason poll, was No. 25 in the first weekly poll and No. 22 in the third and fourth weekly polls, No. 17 in the fifth weekly poll, were No. 21 in weeks 6 and 7, were No. 20 in the eighth poll and were No. 18 in last week's poll.
Ohio Northern went 2-1 last week, defeating Marietta and Mount Union in the OAC Tournament before falling at Otterbein in the finals.
Colorado College remained in the top spot in the poll with 1,670 points and 63 first place votes, Calvin (Mich.) is second with 1,543 points and the remaining two first place votes and Wittenberg is third with 1,151 points
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday at 5:30 pm when they play DePauw (Ind.) in the First Round of the NCAA III Tournament at Otterbein.
A final AVCA poll will be released following the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 21.
