Volleyball ranked No. 21 in sixth weekly AVCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team fell four spots to No. 21 in the sixth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

The Polar Bears (17-4 overall, 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 342 points in the poll.

ONU was ranked No. 22 in the preseason poll, was No. 25 in the first weekly poll and No. 22 in the third and fourth weekly polls, and most recently No. 17 in the fifth weekly poll.

Ohio Northern went 1-1 last week with a sweep at Capital and a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Otterbein.

Wittenberg stayed in the top spot in the poll with 1,663 points and 55 first place votes, Colorado College is second with 1,595 points and the remaining 12 first place votes and Trinity (Tex.) is third with 1,492 points.

The Polar Bears will return to action on on Tuesday evening as they travel to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg at 7 pm.
