WESTERVILLE — The junior duo of Maggie Krause (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) and Allison Stevens (Naperville, Ill./Central) went 1-2 in the pole vault competition, leading the Ohio Northern women's track and field team to a fourth-place finish at the All-Ohio Championships inside Clements Recreation Center on Saturday.

Both Krause and Stevens cleared 3.75 meters over the weekend, but the former claimed the tiebreaker due to fewer attempted jumps. With her efforts Saturday, Stevens established a new career-best mark and moved her up to seventh on the national performance list, pending other results from around the country.

The Polar Bears scored 66 points for fourth place, while Otterbein won the meet with 110 points and Mount Union was second with 101 points.

Ohio Northern now stands at 19-4 overall in the 2019 indoor season.

In the 800-meter run, senior Avery Ewing (Kokomo, Ind./Eastern) raced to second in 2:17.93.
