This Weekend's Tournament: The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will open the spring portion of its 2019-20 schedule with three matches at Transylvania (Ky.) this weekend indoors at the Top Seed Tennis Club ... On Saturday, ONU will face Transylvania at Noon and LaGrange (Ga.) at 4 pm ... The Polar Bears will then play Roanoke (Va.) on Sunday at 1 pm ... Thus far this season, senior Mackenzie Wills and freshman Regan Landis lead ONU with a 5-2 singles records ... Freshman Jeorgia Templin is a team-best 5-2 in doubles play ... Wills and Landis are 9-5 overall to lead the squad ... Wills is currently ranked fifth all-time in ONU history with a 72-18 singles record ... She is tied for 8th with a 80-29 doubles mark and is sixth in overall victories with a 142-47 career mark ... Senior Katie Curry is 10th all-time at ONU with a 63-20 singles mark.

Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 19th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 371-100 (.788) record, including a 140-15 (.903) mark in regular season conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles.
