Women’s Swimming & Diving scores a road win at Wittenberg 114-67

SPRINGFIELD — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team scored a road win at Wittenberg 114-67 Friday night. The Polar Bears took first in six events.

The 200-yard medley relay team — of freshman Abby Schauer, senior Katey Stuart, freshman Shelby Starkey and sophomore Lauren Shaw placed first with a time of 1:59.75.

Starkey also touched first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.07, and in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:44.03. 

Junior Marissa Taylor paced the field in the 400-yard individual medley, recording a time of 4:52.95, while also taking first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:40.65. 

Schauer finished first in the 200-yard backstroke, registering a time of 2:20.12. 

The Polar Bears travel to the Wooster Invitational Dec. 5-7.
