The dual is set for a 7:30 p.m. start inside the ONU Sports Center in Ada ... Northern enters the event sporting an 0-2 overall dual record this season ... The Polar Bears are coming off a third-place effort among a 13-team field in the 38th annual ONU Invitational held last Saturday, December 1 inside the ONU Sports Center ... Senior Clayton Davidson, sophomore Austin Keeley, and freshman Shaun Wagner each went 3-1 overall and earned individual runner-up honors in their respective weight classes to guide the weekend performances ... Meanwhile, juniors Seth Transue and Jeff Andrews and sophomore Schuyler Caprella added three third-place finishes in the tournament ... Freshman Jordan Hardrick ended sixth at 165 while senior Dylan Dolph wound up seventh at 149 to round out the top-eight efforts for the Polar Bears ... Andrews currently leads Northern with 13 victories and four major decisions in 2018-19 while Transue trails close behind at 12 wins ... Caprella joins the duo in double-figure wins with 10 triumphs this season ... Davidson currently stands 16th all-time on ONU's career wins list with a record of 94-44 in four seasons ... The Manchester (Ind.) Spartans enter Friday's contest sporting a 1-5 overall record this season under fourth-year head coach Kevin Lake ... MU is coming off an appearance at the 2018 Little States Championships held at the University of Indianapolis ... At 141, junior grappler Jordan Napier is listed as a "Contender" by D3wrestle.com after he posted a 23-12 overall record during his sophomore season in the 2017-18 campaign ... Last season, the two programs met on December 8 when the Polar Bears upended the Spartans 27-16 due in large part to two falls, a technical fall, and two major decisions for ONU over the final six bouts in the match.

Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 31st season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 318-226-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .584, making him the all-time winningest coach in ONU program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
