Emily Gedert named Co-OAC Women's Golfer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Emily Gedert was named Co-Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of April 16-22.

Gedert won Medalist honors by winning the 7-team OAC Invitational by a whopping 10 strokes Friday and Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club.

This marks the second time in her career that Gedert has been named OAC Golfer of the Week, as she also grabbed the honor on Sept. 10, 2009.

Gedert shared the honor with Rebecca Kapusta of Baldwin-Wallace.

This season, gedert leads the Polar Bears with an 85.6 stroke average for her 13.5 rounds.

The Polar Bears (24-50) will conclude their regular season with the OAC Tournament Saturday and Sunday at Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne.
