This Week's Preview: The Ohio Northern men's track and field team will look to make their last efforts at qualifying for the 2018 NCAA Div. III National Championships in LaCrosse, Wis. as they compete in the 2-day Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central (Ill.) College ... Senior Matt Molinaro is currently the lone male competitor for ONU in the championship field, while numerous other Ohio Northern athletes are on the verge of qualifying and will look to punch their tickets to the 2018 NCAA Div. III Outdoor National Championships ... Molinaro currently ranks third nationally in the 800-meter run entering the meet and will look to win back-to-back national championships in the event after winning the Div. III title in the event in the 2018 Indoor National Championships ... The senior also ranks 14th nationally in the 1,500-meter run entering the meet ... Northern enters the meet after a successful showing at the Dr. Keeler Invitational a week ago ... Molinaro posted his season-best time in the 1,500-meter run at the event, while junior Ian McVey smashed his season-best time in the 5,000-meter run and finishing eighth in the race in 14:36.85 ... Senior Alex Sibila finished third in the high jump, tying his career-high mark with a leap of 6' 7" ... McVey currently ranks 35th nationally in the 5,000-meter run, while Sibila is tied for 34th nationally in the high jump ... Wednesday's competition will kick off at 11:45 a.m. (CST) with the men's and women's discus and hammer events ... Thursday's events are set to kick off at 1 p.m. (CST) with the men's and women's javelin throw.
