Men's Tennis sweeps Grove City (Pa.), falls 5-4 at Allegheny (Pa.) in tri-match on Saturday

MEADVILLE, Pa. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team swept Grove City (Pa.) 9-0 and fell to Allegheny (Pa.) 5-4 at the Allegheny Invitational tournament on Saturday indoors at the Wise Athletic Conter.

The Polar Bears move to 1-1, the Wolverines fall to 1-1 and the host Gators improve to 2-0.

Junior Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) and sophomore Andrew Cochran (Wooster) went 2-0 and Nos. 2-3 singles, respectively, to lead ONU.

Freshman Gian Peruisni (Rome, Italy/Millfield) also went 2-0 in singles, winning at No. 5 and No. 6.

Sophomores Zach Beaschler (Ada) and Nate Meadors (Dublin/Jerome) went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Oct. 4-6 at the ITA Regionals at Kalamazoo, Mich.
