BEREA -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team bowed out of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament in the quarterfinals with a 5-0 loss at Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday afternoon at the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.

The Polar Bears end their season with an even 11-11 record, a 6-game improvement over the 2015-16 squad's mark of 6-13.

The Yellow Jackets improve to 17-3 and advance to the OAC Tournament semifinals on Friday at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason.

BW swept the doubles courts, but not without a battle.

Sophomore Tim Kargl (Downers Grove, Ill./South) and freshman Andrew Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) fell 8-4 at No. 1 doubles and sophomores David Hayman (Westerville/South) and Jake Abbott (Kenton) fell 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.

Senior Dan Warren (Tallahassee, Fla./Lincoln) and freshman Tyler Frantz (Bellefontaine) dropped an 8-3 decision at No. 3 doubles.

The Yellow Jackets then won at Nos. 4 and 6 singles to wrap up the match.
