Tuesday's Preview: The Ohio Northern men's soccer team plays host to Marietta in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament … The game, between the No. 3-seeded Polar Bears and the No. 6-seeded Pioneers, is set for 7 p.m. at Kerscher Stadium in Ada … Northern — which is making its 14th-straight OAC Tournament appearance — enters with a 13-5-2 overall record and a 5-3-1 mark in OAC play, while Marietta comes in with a 9-8-1 overall record and a 4-4-1 conference record … The Polar Bears average 2.1 goals per game and surrender one score per contest … ONU is fresh off a 2-0 home loss to Mount Union Saturday … It marked just the fourth time this season that Northern failed to score … Sophomore Levi King leads the team with nine goals … Junior Beelal Hasan and sophomore Seth Gundlach both have seven goals … Senior Luke Fickenworth and junior Jimmy Walkinshaw have logged three scores apiece, while senior Takashi Yuzawa, junior Zach Yoder and freshman Aaron Shelton all have two goals each … Sophomore goaltender John Lombardo has registered 65 saves, which includes an OAC-best eight shut outs … Marietta averages 1.4 goals per game and allows 1.4 scores per contest … Gavin Long paces the Pioneers with eight goals … Dakota Penquite has started 13 games in net and has 61 saves and a pair of shut outs.
