KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's golf team opened its spring season on Monday with an 8-4 loss to Otterbein at the Winterfest Classic, a Ryder Cup-style competition at the Orange Lake Resort.

The Polar Bears (10-25 overall) got victories from seniors Nick Anderson (Mason) and Joshua Turich (Centerville) and freshmen Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) and Sam Straker (Zanesville).

Anderson and Turich had closed out their matches by the 16th hole and Kimberly was leading his match through 16 when it was called due to darkness.

Straker won his match on the 18th hole.

The Polar Bears will return to action March 30-31 at the Mount Saint Joseph Invitational.
