Men's Basketball picked to finish sixth in OAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
ADA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team was picked to finish sixth in the 2011-12 Ohio Athletic Conference Coaches' Preseason poll.
The Polar Bears received 48 points in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
Defending league champion Marietta was picked to finish first, John Carroll was picked second and Otterbein was picked to finish third.
The Polar Bears return four starters and nine lettermen under third-year head coach John Rhodes from last year's squad that finished 13-13 overall and were fourth in the OAC with a 10-8 record.
Ohio Northern will open its 2011-12 season Nov. 18-19 at the Gettysburg (Pa.) Tournament.
